I am a huge music fan and have always related songs to my relationships. I give love songs to my partner; I sulk to music after a break-up. Music can make you happy, it can make you cry and it can bring back memories from the past. I have almost 11,000 songs on my iPod so I can always find a song to fit what is going on in my relationship on any particular day.
Perhaps you may find this topic relatable. Music is universal crossing all language barriers. What is your relationship/dating theme song? Here are some examples:
Pour Some Sugar on Me by Def Leppard - this song is said to be a metaphor for whatever sexual acts you enjoy.
Do Me, Baby by Prince - I think the title says it all with this one.
Sometimes Love Just Ain’t Enough by Patty Smyth & Don Henley - A song about when love isn’t enough to keep a couple together.
Boom Boom (Let’s Go Back to My Room) by Paul Lekakis - when all someone wants to do is go to the bedroom.
Damn Liar by Chely Wright - Another one with a title that pretty much says it all - when you think your ex is just a damn liar.
A Little Bit Stronger by Sara Evans - Getting stronger as each day passes after a break-up.
Your Song by Rita Ora - A song about unexpectedly falling in love.
I Can’t Make You Love Me by Bonnie Raitt - Knowing the one you are with doesn’t love you the way you love them and knowing you can’t force that love but wanting just one more night before you let go.
I Kissed a Girl by Katy Perry - This is another one that the title speaks for itself.
Endless Summer Nights by Richard Marx - Remembering a love lost and wishing to have it back.
Too Good At Goodbyes by Sam Smith – A song about being too used to breakups and not wanting to be hurt again.
Lay It On Me by Vance Joy - A song about a friendship that is turning into something more and all the feelings that go with it, the risk of losing the friendship, but you know taking the risk is the only option.
Cold by Maroon 5 - About a relationship that has become cold and distant.
What Ifs by Kane Brown (Ft. Lauren Alaina) - A song about doubts and letting those doubts go and what may happen if you do.
